How to Help - Giving

The ProtonPals organization benefits from philanthropic support. Gifts to the ProtonPals will support the activities which are described in our charter as:“The ProtonPals, Ltd. was organized exclusively for educational, charitable, and scientific purposes.  Specifically, ProtonPals provides educational opportunities for the general public, patients and health professionals related to the prevalence of prostate cancer, the importance of early detection, and the cure advantages of proton radiation. The organization supports newly diagnosed persons and their family as well as patients who have been treated and are in recovery period after treatment.

The organization is independent although has a goal of supporting the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center Proton Therapy Center activities.  A share of the donations not required for operations will be given to the Proton Center to help further the exploration of proton therapy in prostate cancer and other tumors.  Support for the research and education programs centered around the Proton Therapy Center will speed the pace at which scientific breakthroughs are “transformed” (implemented) into more effective options for cancer treatment.
